Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Mainland Software ("we", "us") builds websites, custom software, and AI systems for small and medium-sized businesses, based in British Columbia, Canada. We keep this short and in plain English — the same way we work. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Contact form. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, optional company name, and your message — so we can reply.
  • Spam protection. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process technical signals (such as your IP address and browser information) to confirm you're not a bot.
  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and aggregate — it does not use tracking cookies or build a profile of you.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running.

How we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about. We do not sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

We rely on a few trusted service providers to run the site and reply to you:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, security, Turnstile, and analytics.
  • Resend — delivering contact-form submissions to our inbox.
  • PurelyMail — our email inbox where your message lands.

Each only receives what's needed to do its job, and processes it on our behalf.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security and performance.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and for our normal business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA, you can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email [email protected]. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia if you have a concern.

Changes

We may update this policy as our business or tools change. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
